The Breitenloo golf course is located between Zurich and Winterthur. In an agricultural area on the hills northeast of Kloten, which is characterized by rolling hills. Thanks to its proximity to Zurich, Breitenloo can be reached quickly via the A1 and A4 motorways, and the course always offers wonderful views of the Säntis massif, the Alps and the Glattal. The fairways are partly bordered by forest, and an old tree population on the whole course provides relaxing shade.
The course was designed and built in 1964 by the English golf course architects Frank Penning and Don Harradine. From the very first design of the course, great importance was attached to interfering with nature as little as possible. From 2004 to 2006 the whole course was renovated and rebuilt by the German golf course architect Kurt Rossknecht. He also succeeded in integrating the renovated course optimally into the existing environment.
An irrigation system with four storage lakes allows the sprinkling of all playing areas. The lakes are an interesting and challenging element of the championship course. Breitenloo offers both the hobby golfer and the ambitious sportsman interesting and relaxing rounds of golf, coupled with sporting challenges at the highest level.
The spacious club restaurant offers members and guests an excellent and extensive menu of food and drinks.
