The Golf Club Basel is located close to the border above Hagenthal-le-Bas in the generous expanse of beautiful Alsace. The 18 holes blend harmoniously with the given landscape and impress with a varied fairway environment. Unforgettable views can be enjoyed towards the Vosges, Black Forest and Jura. A round of golf here promises peace and relaxation, with hardly any fairways lying next to each other, providing a varied natural setting. Old fruit trees and the edge of the forest provide pleasant shade on hot summer days and golfers of all levels are challenged, as some holes are long and narrow. The excellent greens are a challenge due to their speed. But water hazards are only present on the 11th and 12th hole.
From the 7th tee, the beautiful green, which is surrounded by woods at your feet, presents itself. This tee shot should be placed exactly and is always very exciting! Great precision is required when hitting the 11th green, otherwise the golf ball will inevitably land in the forest, in the bunker or laterally in the lake.
The infrastructure is excellent. The new clubhouse could be opened in late summer 2017. It is definitely worth a visit, because it leaves nothing to be desired. You leave Basel Golf Club knowing that you have experienced a relaxing round of golf in beautiful surroundings.
