Between Olten and Sissach on the Unteren Hauenstein is the hilly and demanding 9-hole golf course Hauenstein. Already at the first hole you play a wide fairway uphill. Although the holes are not too long, you have to play your shots precisely, as biotopes and bunkers make the game more difficult.
From the uppermost point, the Green 5 and Tee 2, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the lovely Jura landscape and the distant Alps, weather permitting. The course is very varied as no two holes are alike and the course has been very skilfully built into the topography.
Given the altitude it is normal that the playing time is not quite as long as on the courses in the Rhine Valley. In contrast, it is always two to three degrees cooler in summer.
The clubhouse with a comfortable lounge and the practice facilities complete the course in a positive way.
